Education Modules and Reference Materials for Teachers:
Urban Watersheds

The Pittsburgh Children's Museum presents, in partnership with the Nine Mile Run Greenway Project and the Homewood Montessori School, teaching modules and reference materials about urban watersheds.

On February 17th, the Pittsburgh Children's Museum plans a celebration for the AAAS Public Science Day 2000. Homewood Montessori students will create an urban stream within the museum. Here, they will demonstrate their understanding of watershed concepts and stream quality.

Guided by their teacher, Valerie Lucas, the students will present an interactive performance that explores opportunities and challenges of urban streams.
